Hi, I’m Lou Blaser.

I’m a reader, writer, and curator. I’m also passionately interested in how we continue to change and become the people we actually like, as we get older.

Although I’ve always been a reader, being a writer and curator is my second career.

I used to be a happy corporate career ladder climber and was a management consultant for most of my life. I left that world in 2014 with a desire to apply myself in a different field and flex a different set of muscles. I tried on many different hats for a few years, and eventually rediscovered a love for creative writing combined with a passion for self-learning. And I’ve been joyfully pursuing these passions in my new projects (aka obsessions!).

I don’t want to wonder if I have made of my life something particular and real. I don’t want to find myself sighing and frightened or full of argument. I don’t want to end up simply having visited this world.

We’re All Getting Older

If Rick Blaine had a website instead of a bar in Casablanca, he might have said, “Of all the websites on the internet in all the world, you landed on mine.” I'm thrilled that you found your way here. I hope we can extend this momentary connection.
